One Word

The new optional twist for our Anything Goes challenge over at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday is One Word!  So, the goal is to use only one word on the front of your design!  Remember, our twists are always optional!

The papers and embellishments I used this week are from our wonderful sponsor ~ Polkadoodles.  You can find all the papers, alphabet, and embellishments for this card in the Work and Play 8 Collection Feel the Music.  

This was an easy card to put together and mass produce for several thank yous! I simply used my Pages/Notes program on my Mac.  Check out the video below!

After I arranged all the pieces on screen, I printed my card front and adhered that to my card base.  Just to add a bit of shine, I traced over the sentiment with some Liquid Glass.

Organized!

It's all about Organization over at Cut It Up for this challenge! 

What are you doing to get organized in 2018?  I am guilty of making tons of cards for challenges and blogs, but I never seem to send them!  Sometimes I don't have an appropriate card, other times I just forget where I put the card I made.  (Yes, I realize that is sort of pathetic!)  

So, I chose to make this Organizer Box and Dividers from My Scrap Chick.  The plan is to be more organized by making the cards and placing them in the month of birthdays, anniversaries, etc.  Then, I'll have it ready for me when the time comes!
   

The cardstock is from the DCWV Rustic Stack.  I'm not sure it's even available anymore, but this is perfect for my craft room since it has a sort of rustic, horse theme.  Imagine that!  hahaha

Forever in Blue Jeans!

Our themes this month are all about COLOR! Every month we will present a new challenge over at Path of Positivity starring a color family!  Our color hues for January are BLUES!

As I said before, blue is my favorite color!  I love all shades of blue from the periwinkles to the turquoise to the denims!  Blue is the color of most of my favorite "stuff" including my favorite blue jeans!  Blue makes me think of my jeans and the beginning of riding season.  This tag sort of says it all for me:  horses, flowers, blue, and new grass coming in!  Perfect.

Monstrous Valentine's Day!

Ok, are Pip and Ivy not the cutest couple out celebrating Valentine's Day?  I thought this would be the perfect Valentine for my guy since we're both a little weird.  Now, I know he follows my blog; so... Happy Valentine's Day, Kelly!   

Pip and Ivy are available as two separate clear stamp sets from Polkadoodles and they are the Stamps of the Month for January!  Each comes with his/her own little pet monster!

This is a larger card measuring 5 inches x 7 inches.  I started in Design Space and cut the house and path.  I cut some yellow cardstock to go behind to create the lights from inside.  I also cut the moon with the sentiment from Little Monsters Messages.  The moon was adhered with dimensional tape.  

I Copic colored Pip and Ivy.  The background layer was created using inks and and sponges.  

I added a few little hearts floating above, but I think the look in Pip's eyes says it all!  ;)

Romance ~ It's all about the Chemistry!

Happy New Year!  I can't believe we're already a week into 2018 and it's time to start thinking about Valentine's Day!

This year my sister has a new guy in her life and I wanted to celebrate that with a special card!  Now, my sister is a science teacher (chemistry) and her guy works in a lab.  So, how perfect is this couple I put together from Work & Play Collection 12!  I paired them with some romantic papers from Work & Play Collection 9 Love & Kisses.  I love the papers in this collection as well as the fun digis and ephemera!  

I also got a new toy for Christmas...The Little Darlings Magical Slider Card Die Cuts.  This is such a fun Die Set and I couldn't wait to try it.  I used it a little differently since I didn't stamp a clear window; I simply made a sliding front.

Blue Porcelain

It's the first PoP posting of the year and we have some fun planned for this year!  It's all about COLOR! Every month we will present a new challenge over at Path of Positivity starring a color family!  Our color hues for January are BLUES!

When I saw this Peek-A Boo Kitty, I couldn't help but think of the blue porcelain cats.  I decided I wanted to try this Zentangle-type masterpiece from Scribbles!  Here are some pics of blue porcelain kitties from the internet.  Love these adorable kitties!

        

                        

Now, I must admit, blue is my favorite color!  I love all shades of blue from the periwinkles to the turquoise to the denims!  Blue is the color of my favorite "stuff":  jeans, water, porcelain kitties, cornflowers, my Trail Blazer, my saddle blanket, even my favorite ruler is blue!

Be Happy...!

I love this quote and it inspired me to make this piece for my desk!  It is so true, life is made up of many moments, and I want to strive to make them all happy!

This paper collection and quote are from Polkadoodles Lil Miss Sugarpops.  I used corrugated cardboard from an old box and topped it with one of the pocket letter cards sized up to about 3 1/2 x 5 inches.  

The star of my 2018 reminder piece is Miss Winnie Chic!  I am so enjoying the fun that comes with all the variety I can create with her!  Today I have her in a little country spring frock.  Yesterday, she was skating through frigid temps...you can see here HERE!  Wonder what she'll wear tomorrow...
