TT fav

It's time for new challenge over at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday and our optional twist is Favorite Product or Technique and Why!

I chose to use this rustic image, Winter Wire, from Anne Fenton to show off some of my favorite products and techniques.  I had so much fun using many of my "go to" ideas and fun products!

First off I started in Design Space to create the card front.  I chose a sentiment from there and printed it with the image.  I chose a simple poinsettia shape and cut 3 of them.  Then I pulled my favorite coloring medium, Copics, and went with one of my favorite color combos...red/brown.

Once colored, I added gel pen on the barbed wire ~ another "go to" for me!  I love adding beads, burlap, copper findings and gold splatters.  Of course, I had to add black twine and gold embossing because again, they're more of my favs!

What are your favs?  Come share with us at Twisted Thursday!

Off to the following Challenges/Pages:

12 Months of Christmas:  Brads, Buttons & Bows opt twist
Not sure my eyelets qualify for twist, but....2 eyelets and one bow

Looking ahead to Easter!

The Digi Choosday Team is sharing Easter this week.  Of course, it's always Anything Goes for all of your entries; so come join us for a chance to win some Polkadoodles digis!

This is Bunnita going off to an egg hunt and Easter dinner!  I chose to use Bunnita Carrot Cake from the cute collection Fuzzypuffs!  I combined her with a fence and egg basket from Country Life Work & Play 10.

I printed them onto cold press watercolor paper and used watercolor pencils to color my scene!

My sentiment is from Fuzzypuffs and printed on a banner from Lavender Tea.  The background papers are from Winnie Special Moments.

I finished it off with a triple bow, a cut doily, Copic colored lace, a button, and some gems!

Flowers

The new theme for the Cut It Up challenge is about Flowers!  Create a project with flowers and don't forget your die cuts!!

I'm working on a little book for my grand-girl and this Scrappy Dew Creations cut, Flower Fairy Princess,  was just too perfect for this photo!  I love the flower wand with the little fairy!  The sentiment is from a fall season cut called Sprinkled with Love!  Both of these sets are found in the Seasons Section at Scrappy Dew.

The papers are all from Polkadoodles.  I have added Enamel Stars from CTMH and Sparkle Gems from Stash.  The dark purple letters in sentiment were cut from Vinyl - easier to stick on that way!  ;)  A little twine, ribbon and ink finish the layout!

This is off to the following challenges/pages:

Coffee with a Friend

As we continue down the Path of Positivity, we are pondering Friendship this month and the idea is to make a project to encourage/uplift a friend.

Now this would be the perfect card for about 95% of my friends and colleagues!

In the horse world we say, "Coffee is the official gatorade of horse shows!" It's the last thing we give up before walking into the show arena!  Around the campfire, it's the morning mojo of cowboys.

In the music world we all drink coffee on the way to gigs to stay awake for those evening concerts.  To be honest, the majority of coffee taken in by musicians is while teaching!

So, coffee and friends just go together in my worlds!  Life is "brewtiful" with all my friends!

You can find this wonderful sentiment, Life is Brewtiful, and image, Cup Saucers, are from Scribbles Designs!

Sharing some friendship and coffee at the following challenges:

To celebrate this festive bash, I decided to Copic color the fun Bugaboo Image, Monster Birthday Snapshot!  What better image for this Monstrous celebration!

The Polaroid camera is cut from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles Naturally Cool papers!  I designed this in Cricut Design Space and altered the camera and Polaroid frame cuts from CTMH.  I added red and black cardstocks from my stash.

The flash is Deco Foil Silver Shattered Glass.  This is so easy to do!  I used a Zig 2 Way glue and let it dry.  Then simply rub the foil over the glue!

Here's a little demo of the card in action!

ROY G BIV

It's time for new challenge over at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday and our optional twist is RainbowInterpret how you choose:  use a rainbow, colors of rainbow, rainbow ribbon, etc.

When I was young I learned the acronym ROY G BIV for the colors of the rainbow:  Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Indigo, Violet.  I thought it would be fun to take the beautiful horse digi from Anne Fenton and color him up in the Painted Ponies Fashion using rainbow colors.

Now, if you've never seen the Painted Ponies, you need to check them out from an artistic view even if you don't love equine creatures.  These are some of the most creative pieces of art.  You can view them here:  Trail of Painted Ponies Images.

I can't believe my little girl is turning 30 in just a few days!  Wow, how can that be?  It seems she was in grade school just a few years ago!

My card for her features Copic colored Ruby Dog Days and papers from Octavia Moonfly Paper Heaven 4 and Paper Heaven 5!  The outside sentiment is from Winnie Special Moments and the inside sentiment is from Winnie Fruit Punch.  The shape for the sentiment is from Winnie in Wonderland Journal Tags.

Hello Spring

The new theme for the Cut It Up challenge is about Spring!  Create a project inspired by spring and don't forget your die cuts!!

This Topiary Pot and Bush cut is from Cutting Cafe.  Th Bundle is called Tall Flowers Shaped Cards and includes 3 different flower shapes, pots, leaves, bow and butterfly.  It also includes a cut to make a shaped card, but I chose to make mine on a card to fit a US business size envelope.

Papers are from Polkadoodles.  I distressed the edges of the background piece and inked around all the cuts with CTMH inks.  I used a stamp to give the topiary bushes a little more texture.

The inside sentiment is from Tulip Shaped Card Set.

This Vintage Topiary is off to the following challenges/pages:

Friendship

This month wandering the Path of Positivity, we are celebrating Friendship and the idea is to make a project to encourage/uplift a friend.

My goal in this project is to start a book full of important words for my little grand-girl.  I'm including some pictures of her along with digis, cuts, dies, etc.  I'll give it to her on her 4th birthday to celebrate her year.

Friendship is so important to us as living beings and we celebrate friendship with several other living creatures.  I was so blessed to work in therapeutic horsemanship for years, and I saw many children talk to horses when they could not speak to people.  Their equine friends could get them to do things we as teachers could never get them to do!

Just this weekend, we had our golden in at TSC (farm/supply store).  It's always amazing to see the smiles and experience the interactions when she is with us.  Most of my closest friends were made because of our 4-legged friends and we all enjoy our time out with them.

*   *   *

I chose this adorable Flower Puppy from Bugaboo for a layout to celebrate the new friendship between my little grand-girl and her pup.  They are quite the pair!

I started this page in Cricut Design Space and printed the tree from Miss Kate Cuttables and the Flower Puppy image.  I cut the leaves and flowers from stash paper, I believe it is from CTMH.

I copic colored the pup and inked a bit of green and blue ink on the page lightly.  Next, I added the matted photo and cut foliage.  Finally, I added the title from Cricut Wild Card cut from vinyl and adhered it with a corner onto the striped page.

Coloring in Scrapland:  Colored image with Critter/AG
