Never Too Old!

As we meander a Path of Positivity, we are challenging you to create something inspired by Quotes about Dreams/Goals!  Of course, you can share anything positive you like, the theme is always optional.

This quote from the PoP list of June Quotes:  “You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.” ― C.S. Lewis, inspired my digital layout.  I have recently been working with Jake and have lots of new goals I am working to achieve!  I've always sort of gone out to ride for fun; but now I have some maneuvers I'd like to try.

I've joined a horse group called HorseGirl and it's fun to see what all the other women are doing with their horses.  I've recently attended a clinic and very much enjoyed meeting some of these ladies and their horses!  It has truly renewed my interest in riding and inspired me to take on some new challenges.

If you'd like more info about HorseGirl, click on the name and check out some of the free horsemanship ideas.

Remember, you may share any sort of artistic medium over at PoP:  writing, cards, journals, scrapbooking, painting, sewing, baking, needle crafts, etc as long as it is positive!  The theme is always optional.

Oboe? Really... in a poem?

Ok, I seldom do much crafting just for the fun of it.  But when I saw the challenge over at The Outlawz Sunday Songs and Rhymes, I had to play along!  I mean, how many times are we challenged by a poem with the oboe mentioned?  That opportunity just doesn't come along very often.

Having played the oboe for more years than I want to count, I have a few pics of me and my oboe.  So, I decided to be inspired by the family members mentioned and go with a Christmas Past Pic with Papa and Grandgirl playing the drum, while I played oboe!

"You can quote me" over at AG in a Card Free Zone

Time for a new challenge at The Outlawz Anything Goes in a Card Free Zone and the optional theme is...You can quote me! Use a quote or be inspired by a quote!

I chose to highlight a moment at Mecum Auction with a digital layout featuring a quote from Chris Bangle. "Cars are the sculptures of our everyday lives!" According to BMWBlog, "He (Chris Bangle) is responsible for many great cars including the Z3, Z4 and the E63 6 Series.  However, the car that most people will remember him by is the E65 7 Series."

Every year, my guys (husband and son) take a week to go to the Mecum Auction in Indy.  I don't go, but I send them on a hunt for photos I can use in layouts!  This year, I asked them to find a BMW Z line car since Bangle's designs are incorporated in the entire BMW lineup, including the BMW Z4, 1, 3, 5, 6 and 7 series.  The actual design credit of this particular car goes to Anders Warming...I think, but it was built on the design of Bangle??  Don't quote me on this; I'm not a car history expert...I don't even play one on tv!  hahaha

Bangle is best known for the "Bangle Butt"!  If you are interested in the history, you can find it HERE.
