Hope

The new theme over at Cut It Up is Breast Cancer Awareness.  Our sponsor, CAS-ual Friday Stamps, was incredibly generous and provided me with a stamp set, 2 dies, and sequins so I could share this important event with you.  When you purchase these sets, 50% of the proceeds will be donated to breast cancer research and awareness.  Everyone wins: you get some beautiful stamps and dies and a wonderful organization benefits at the same time!

From what I have read, this is a cause very near and dear to Michele's heart.  She has a special interest in spreading the word about self exams and sharing updates on research.  You can follow this on the Calling All Sistahs Challenge Blog the 17th of each month.

There are some beautiful sentiments in the set and the dies cut beautifully!  I actually cut the word "hope" from a cereal box and it cut through with no problems!  The sequins package is so sparkly and adds the perfect touch!

I chose to back this in black so the sequins would
stand out and sparkle even more.  It gives it a sort of
contemporary "space odyssey" look!

If you are as lucky as I am and don't know anyone going through this journey, I would like to share this idea.  I am sending my cards to Girls Love Mail.  If you would like to participate in this, please visit their site and read their guidelines in preparation to make your card.

If you do know someone to receive your card, my thoughts and prayers are with you and 'your sistah' as the journey continues.

Hope is stronger than fear and I feel educated hope is even stronger!  Keep up with your monthly exams and physicals, and stay informed.

Hope is off to:
Unicorn Challenge Blog:  Perfectly Pink for BCA
Fabrika Fantasy:  Pink or Halloween
Watercooler Wednesday:  Feminine AG
Fab 'n' Funky:  Pretty in Pink
Time Out Challenge:  Breast Cancer Awareness or Friendship
In the Pink:  Flower Power
I added a floral/word stamp over the ribbon
stamp.  I stamped the ribbon first and masked
it.  Then I added a thick die cut and put some
lace behind the front panel.

When you visit the Cut It Up blog, have fun viewing the DT projects and check out the rules and prize info.  Then share your projects ~ don't forget the die cut to have a chance to win a prize from our sponsor!

This card has an embossed front panel with the
ribbon stamped and die cut.  I then popped
it with 3-D tape.
Thanks for stopping by!  Make yourself at home and feel free to peruse other posts/pages, leave a comment, and/or check out my Pinterest

I love each of your cards. My favorite is Hope is stronger than fear. The ribbon placement reminds me of a falling leaf! :)

  2. Beautiful cards, Katrina, and such an important message on each. Love those dies and the pretty background papers. Of course the sparkly sequins finish them off beautifully. I hope that they help to get this important message out. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
