I was over at Lift Challenge, a new site for me, and saw this fun technique I hadn't tried before and I have to say I was very intrigued! So, I looked at the wonderful DT examples and had a go! They have also provided a link to a video on this process.
The technique is called 'angled ink-blending' and it really is great fun! Now I chose my colors from the color challenge over at Retro Rubber Challenge.
The stamp, which happens to be Retro Rubber, is Kokopelli and fits the Festive Friday Challenge for World Music Day!
Kokopelli has several different stories behind him, but I'll focus on the idea he is associated with the idea of fun and appreciating what life has to offer; the flute symbolizes joy and music. He is also seen as a muse to inspire creative individuals. Others believe Kokopelli's flute music symbolized the transition of winter to spring. There are several interesting stories about Kokopelli!
So, this is the outcome of my fun day at the art table and computer screen! ; )

Your card reminds me of the great vacation my husband and I had years ago in the USA. Kokopelli is a figure I found enchanting and I bought one for my garden wall to remind me of our stay. Your beautiful background sets him off very nicely. A wonderful card! Thanks a lot for joining us and for the kind words, but please don't forget to link your card.
