Priceless!

Hay prices are high and probably going to get higher; same goes for feed!  Farm machinery,,,,,,well, we won't even discuss what that costs or the price of maintaining it!  Driving the tractor with Papa; hey, that's priceless!

I remember playing on my grandpa's tractor at his farm; it was the best fun!  Now we get to share that with our grand-girl.

All of my cuts except the deer are from the CTMH Artiste and Artbooking Cartridges.

I used a stencil I made from the Artbooking cartridge to air brush in the arrows.  It ended up looking almost like tractor tire prints!  I layered over that with different stamps including:  Distressed Backgrounds and Assorted Edges.

In Design Space I sliced the deer from Going Places Cartridge into a frame from Artbooking.  I used the In the Background stamp from CTMH to put the pattern on using Pixie ink.  After the ink was dry, I heat embossed with clear powder using the same stamp.

The arrow pattern paper is Sweet Leaf color from Fundamental Paper.  This cardstock has a really cool ink resist feature.  I rubbed over it with a darker green ink to get that look.

  1. This is a fabulous layout Katrina! Oh how well I know the price of farm machinery, hay and straw. We always grow our own hay and straw, but it is hard to get help to put it away. So we don't grow it as much and this year we sold the straw right out the field. But it is priceless to have the grands on the farm and machinery! Our granddaughters always tell us they are going to be a farmer just like Papaw. lol It makes our hearts smile that they love to be on the farm and "help" Papaw. And it looks like your sweetie is in her glory on that John Deere!! Hugs, Brenda

  4. Definitely a priceless moment! I still remember the old tractor rides at the farm.... Sadly my own children have never experienced it. Your grand daughter looks like she is having a blast! Love the way you have matched the colours to the photo, and the tyre style chevrons - it all works so well!!
