Tuesday Tutorial/Share

Well, it's Tuesday again and time for another Share.  Today I want to share one of the new features in Design Space:  Pattern Fill.  This is not a feature that excited me at first; but after playing with it, I think I like it for designing layouts, album pages and cards.  I think, for me, it will be a time and paper saver!  Gotta love that!  ; )

As for this video, I'm experimenting with OBS and iMovie.  That was an entire weekend venture for me!  Yikes, the learning curve on computers is just crazy for me, but I think I've figured out some of it.

The layout you are going to see in this video is part of a project I'm working on for a class I'll be teaching this fall.  I'll share more about the class and the layout later when I have the project completely designed and made.

Great, you survived the past six minutes!  I hope this video explains how to insert the pattern fill and suggests another use for it in addition to printing out patterns on your cuts.

I'm always happy you came by to visit!  Questions, comments?  Leave them below if you like or you can contact me through the form at the right of this post.  Need CTMH supplies?  I'd love to have you shop with me at ScrappyHorses.ctmh.com or click the shopping cart at the right to see the newest products.  Looking for information about other projects on this site?  Feel free to peruse other posts or pages.  You're welcome to stay as long as you like!

  1. I believe I will use this 24/7 because I'm always cutting additional piecesas I'm unsure how I want to place the different pieces, so I sometimes have 2 or 3 cuts. I think I would scan all the design paper so that it is on hand. A perfect example of my several cuts was my challenge card for Atlantic Hearts for the new week, several different cuts but it was a pretty simple card. I like your tutorials because you are thorough as in everything you do. What would be useful is another label Tutorials on your blog so they are all in one place, would you consider that? Or is there is reason you wouldn't want to do this.

    1. Great idea, I'll have to see if I can post them in a daily blog setting and then move them to a 'tabbed page' at the top. As for now, they are all together at my YouTube channel. Here is a link to my videos: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOYs8J6pv0mqYmqNitqN8qA/videos Heading over to look at your card now!

    2. I've not worked too much with You Tube but my neighbor does and she puts in her favorites or something, I'll take a look...this should work. Thanks.

    3. This works for me...I'm subscribed to your videos. Also, through your subscriptions I found the Crafts By 2 which was also very beneficial on the enhancements to Cricut...they are comical and informative. Looks like my references will be in You Tube instead of all the bookmarks. Thanks for introducing me to this.

  2. OMG Katrina, this feature is amazing and I can see where it will save me a lot of cutting wasteless sizes just to see how it would look better as a finished product. You can almost use this as a design board for combining the papers. I Lovvvvvvvve this feature...got one paperpak already in...it takes a long time to save, but it's well worth it. I wonder if you can share this, I would like to be able to put the papers in for myself and daughter for selection, and of course you too if that is possible. I'm still playing with it; but I think I remember something from the video.
