We 3 Elves?

It's time for new challenge over at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday and our optional twist is to add a decorative edge!

This cute envelope features Copic colored images from MMedel Illustrations.  These guys are called...very appropriately...3 Funny Elves!  The envelope cut is from Cricut Spring Holiday Cards welded to Presents Border from Cricut Celebrations.  I added the Gift Border from Cricut to a rectangle cut from Polkadoodles paper to act as the background for the elves.

I plan to use this as a money envelope for my son in law who has the most jovial personality!

Metallics: Reflections of the Year!

As we conclude the journey through the colors over at the Path of Positivity, we are continuing the month with metallics.

This delightful Copic colored digi, Camera Life, makes for the perfect tag to conclude my 2018 color tag journal!

Metallics reflect the world around us, but the best thing about them is they reflect the bright moments that are full of light!  This concept led me down a path of reflection.  The past year has been a difficult journey for us.  But photos don't lie; there have been some very bright and fun moments!

As I look at the beautiful metals (ornaments, tinsel, icicles, etc) on the tree reflecting the Christmas lights, I think about how I can reflect what is bright in this world as well.  Sure, I could dwell on the dark, dismal "stuff" in our world, but I can also step out into the light and reflect the beauty around me!

My goal for 2019 is to find those beautiful moments and shine a bright light on them, take lots of pictures of them, and enjoy the reflections!

This tag is off to the following challenges:

Tic, Tac, Toe!

The new theme for the Cut It Up challenge should get you in the Christmas mood with a holiday game of Tic, Tac, Toe!  Here is the game board!

I have chosen the diagonal containing:  Ornament, Red, Interactive

This envelope will be interactive in 3 ways!  First the jingle bells are fun to shake!  Of course, it's interactive in the way it opens with the twine wrapping around the paper discs and lastly it is part of a search for gifts on the holiday!  ;)

I started with the envelope cut in Cricut Design Space.  The cut is from Cricut Stay Sharp and the paper is from Polkadoodles Horace and Boo.  The delightful Copic colored kitty is Ornamental Newton from Newton's Nook who happens to be our sponsor for this fun challenge!  I chose to color him blue/grey since that is the color of my son's kitty!

I finished it up with some twine, eyelets, and jingle bells since holiday kitties would love to play with them!

My gift envelope is off to the following challenges:

Crafter's Castle:  AG option ~ Ornament
Die Cut Divas:  Winter/Winter Holidays
SUYP:  Furrything Goes/Meowy Christmas
2 Crafty Critter Crazies:  AG with a Critter
Fab 'n' Funky:  Cute Christmas

Christmas Gift Idea!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! That's what the Digi Choosday Team is sharing this week.  Of course, it's always Anything Goes for all of your entries; so come join us for a chance to win some Polkadoodles digis!

I've wanted to make one of these "gift wallets" for a while now and this seemed the time!  I think this will make for a wonderful gift!

I have combined this adorable Copic colored digi, Christmas Shopping, with paper from Winnie White Christmas.

The back of the wallet showcases Word Art from the same collection.

The inside shows off some of the festive Pre-Colored digis from Winnie White Christmas  as well as the fun papers!

The cut was from Digi Playground no longer in business.  However, I'm sure you could create a simple wallet cut that could double as a photo book!

Christmas Cotton Wreath

As we end the journey through the colors over at the Path of Positivity we have come to the Metallics.  Sparkle N Sprinkle is our sponsor this month and I have chosen the lovely digi and sentiment, Fall Cotton Wreath.

Metallics are so lovely during the holidays!  It is so beautiful how they reflect the beautiful lights and shine.  They are the perfect accent to the tree, crafts, gift wrapping, candles, etc.  I'll have more about my feelings on metallics beyond the holidays in my PoP Midway Post ~ December 17th.

The metallic I chose for my card is made by combining the beautiful Gold Glitter digital paper (from the Glitteratti Set 2:  Traditional Christmas Colours Dark Collection from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles) with some fine glitter. It was cut in Cricut Design Space using Geometric Rectangle from CTMH Artistry.

I also used some gold metallic paint on the accent flowers in the wreath as well as around the edges of the background paper which also has some gold in it.  That paper is from Winnie Wonderland Polkadoodles and was cut in Design Space using a frame from Elegant Edges.
