Happy Easter Chicks!

Today I have a project for you that is all CTMH!  Yes, even the Cricut cuts are from Artistry, Art Philosophy, and Artiste.  Now, you might be thinking you don't recognize the chick or the bag, but I'm telling you, they are from CTMH!

Ok, let me explain.  The little chick is really the duck from Artistry.  I just did a little slicing and welding with shapes in Design Space and got my little chick!  The bag is from Artiste, but again I did a little slicing and put in a couple of little circles for the ribbon and here it is.

Now the yellow ribbon is CTMH, it's just been in my stash for a really long time.  I have hoarded it and gotten it out on special occasions!

Material List:

CTMH Cardstock/Paper:  Penelope, White Daisy, Lollydoodle (retired), Charlotte, Cotton Candy, Canary
CTMH Embellishments:  Bitty Sparkle (Blackened with a Sharpie), Pixie Extra Thick Twine, Ribbon Round (retired), Flamingo Dots, Aqua Dots, and Enamel and Glitter Blue Dots

These little cutie chicks are hopping over to the following challenges:
Bitten by the Bug 2:  Spring Flings and Easter Things

Thanks for visiting today!  As always, feel free to leave me comments/questions, peruse other posts/pages, shop for CTMH goodies, etc!

Have a blessed Easter!

Happy Easter!

It's a lovely day before Easter here in the Midwest and we're all busy preparing for tomorrow!  My guy has practiced with the choir and bells for church and I have dinner planned ~~ just a few last minute things to discuss with "the bunny" for the grand-girls!

This card was made using the Gorjuss Girls rubber stamp called Sweet Tea.  As you all know, I don't use many rubber/cling stamps that aren't CTMH, but I can't resist Gorjuss Girls and horse stamps of different makers.....oh, and of course all the wonderful Digi stamps out there!  ; )

I stamped the image twice and fussy cut the bunny and the tag (masking the sentiment that was already there).  I stamped my new sentiment with the CTMH stamp Just to Say.  I popped the tag and bunny with 3-D tape.

Material List:
CTMH Paper/Cardstock:  Colonial White, Daisy White, Seaside (retired)
CTMH Inks:  Memento Black, Chocolate, Pixie, Flaxen
Copic Markers
Embellishments:  Spare Parts Sequins, Prima Flower, Twine, Latina Crafter Wood Veneer Cup, Embroidery Floss, 3-D Foam Tape

This little sweetie is off to the following Challenges:
Card Mania:  Polka Dots/Stripes
Brown Sugar:  Easter
Polkadoodles Crafting Challenge:  Cream and Sugar

Thanks for coming by for a visit!  Please feel free to leave me a comment/question, shop my CTMH link to the right, peruse other pages/posts, and make yourself at home.  I'm always happy to hear from you!

Beautiful Kitty for Easter

We are mid-way through March and that means it's time for more Beauty at Path of Positivity!  What challenge theme could be more inspirational than beauty?  We are so fortunate to work with two sponsors this month who have offered beautiful images and prizes:  Lunagirl and Sami Stamps!

The beautiful pre-colored image I chose for my card is from Lunagirl.  I fell for these precious cat images the moment I saw them.  Since it was beautifully pre-colored, this card was quick to piece together!

Ok, I think cats are beautiful!  My idea for beauty is that simple this time.  No long, twisty path for my journey, I just think they are beautiful!

I love the personality of cats.  They are creatures with very rude, selfish behaviors; but.......still I love their mysterious ways.  My parents love cats, so this Easter card will be 'purrfect' for my mom and dad!

Material List:
CTMH Cardstock/Paper:  Charlotte, White Daisy
Copic Markers to color the floral paper
CTMH Inks:  Canary, Sorbet, Cocoa, Chocolate
CTMH Stamp:  Some Bunny (retired)
Embellishments:  Offray Lace, Bo Bunny Double Dot Gems, 3 Girl Jam Caribbean Splash Ribbon

Thanks so much for visiting!  Please take a moment to see all the beautiful projects by the PoP design team.  We can't wait to see your beautiful project and read your take on beauty!  Your project/thoughts can be simple (like my thoughts this time) or complex.  There are so many great ways to win prizes at PoP.......so head on over and share your latest beauty!

It's the Easter Bunny!

Well, it's time to think Easter ~ pastels, spring, and bunnies!  Yes, bunnies is the theme over at Cut It Up!

My bunny is from the The First Few Years cartridge.  I used Design Space to slice the bunny cuts into a square.  This made my bunny stencil.  I cut it from Acetate Alternative.

Now, the fun part is the medium I used with the stencil over the tag ~~ Faber-Castell GLASS BEAD GLITTER GEL!  It made the bunnies all glittery and textured.

I laid the stencil over the tag (cut from CTMH Artbooking cartridge) and taped it into place.  I then rubbed CTMH Blush ink over the stencil and ended up with blush bunnies.  Without removing the stencil I used a palette knife and spread the glass bead glitter gel over the inked bunnies.  I love the look of this.  I saw the idea on a video by Vicky Papaioannou:

My basket is cut from the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 Cartridge.

Material List:

CTMH Paper/Cardstock:  Charlotte, White Daisy, Kaleidoscope
CTMH Inks:  Chocolate, Canary, Sorbet, Blush (retired)

Saddle Adventures

Time for another challenge over at Through the Craft Room Door ~ always Anything Goes; so any project you want to share is great for our challenge!

My layout today includes the fun western digi Saddle Up from Just Inklined.  I fell for this image and decided to use it with some older pictures of my son.  I colored the image, fussy cut it, and glued it onto the page.  I then blended around the image with some Chocolate ink.

I stamped with some background stamps to add more texture to my page before adhering the pictures and embellishments.

Song Inspired: Angel

As one might imagine from my bio, I am constantly inspired by music.  For me there is no better inspiration for creation.  When I was offered the opportunity to share as a Guest over at Scrap It With A Song, I jumped on it!

The songs for the March challenge are:

                                                                          Rock Song

Pop Song
I chose the song "Angels" performed by Robbie Williams.  I was inspired by the lyrics:

"I sit and wait
Does an angel contemplate my fate
And do they know
The places where we go
When we're grey and old
'cos I have been told
That salvation lets their wings unfold"

There is also a verse mentioning "waterfall" and that inspired the spray of gems cascading down the angelic ascension.

Beauty

Time for another Path of Positivity Post!  Our theme this month is beauty.

Beauty……well how many directions could we go with this theme?  Ok, come with me on a rambling journey as I ponder this.

Let's see……there are "beaucoup" sayings:  Beauty is only skin deep.  Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  True beauty comes from within.  We could go on and on!  We could explore the true meaning of beauty.  Is it about our looks, actions, faith, attitude?  I might even choose to leave the human aspect and venture into nature, animals, the cosmos, etc.   Wow, so many options here!

I fell in love with this image from Sami Stamps and thought it was beautiful!  The beauty theme inspired me to choose this image and that in turn reminded me of these preciousl pictures I had not scrapped from my daughter's 2013 wedding.

It seems weddings can be viewed with such cynicism these days, but this truly was a beautiful day.  It wasn't about the dresses, flowers or cake ~ although they were all lovely ~ but it really was about the beauty of two families coming together and celebrating the formation of a new family!  It was truly a beautiful day for me; I was blessed with a new son and the bonus of my first grand-girl (that sweet little red-head in the pic)!  No, it may not have been the way I had always envisioned my daughter's life, but the beauty far exceeded what I would have planned for her.

……and possibly there it is……beauty isn't something we plan.  True beauty comes when we keep our hearts open to the unexpected.

Thanks for going down that path with me!  It meandered; but I'm sure if you follow my Path of Positivity posts, you expected that!  ; )

Now it's time for you to venture down your own path and share with us what comes to your mind/heart when you contemplate beauty.  This month we had the joy of working with images from Sami Stamps and Luna Girls.  They are offering prizes along with Creative Bug Digital Snapshots and Desosse's Dynamite Doodles.  Be sure to visit PoP to see all the stunning DT inspiration and learn the many ways you can win these fabulous prizes!
