Organized!

The new twist for our Anything Goes challenge over at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday is Anything Goes!  That is always a popular theme!  Our sponsor is Your Next Stamp.

I thought it would be fun to make a clipboard organizer.  The envelope/flower patterns and all the papers are from Polkadoodles.

This organizer includes two pockets on the bottom, a pocket with an acetate window for writing with a Vision Dry Erase Pen, a small bulletin board square and of course the clip on the actual board.

This makes for a great place to leave a check, store receipts, write a quick note, and/or tack up a reminder.

Sending this off to the following challenges:
The Crazy Challenge:  3 in a row:  Flower, Twine, Circle

Christmas Sock

The beautiful papers in Winnie in Winterland lend themselves to a beautiful mixed media look without the mess!  This particular paper is from Winnie in Winterland Paper Heaven 5.  I added a few Sprigs of Holly from Foliage Download and popped the sock from the Embellies Download up with 3-D Tape. The Paper, sentiment and pre-colored digi can all be found in Winnie in Winterland.

The Fox

The new theme over at Cut It Up is The Fox and the Grapes... we want to see a what you can do with a fox and or fruit on your project!

My card uses the fox, outside sentiment, and hat from Hey Foxy Shaped Card Set.  The tree is also from that set, but it was intended to be a hat.  I enlarged it to make a tree!

On the inside I used a border from the same set and the inside sentiment is from Cutting Cafe Christmas Card Fun.

I added some sparkle paper for ornaments and some white ink to his hat.

When you visit the blog, have fun viewing the DT projects and check out the rules and prize info.  Then share your foxy/fruity projects ~ don't forget the die cut to have a chance to win a prize for our sponsor The Cutting Cafe.

Birthdays!

The new twist for our Anything Goes challenge over at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday is Birthdays.  That is always a festive and fun theme!  Our sponsor is Your Next Stamp.

I decided to make a birthday bag using paper and a pre-colored digi from Polkadoodles!  The bag cut is from SVG Cuts.  I dyed some white seam binding to math the little flowers in the paper pattern.

Tags!

It's a new challenge over at Digi Choosday and we are sharing some tags this week!

I love country daisies, denims/blues, polka dots... so I decided to combine them all in this tag.

I cut the Luna digi around the bottom of her shirt.  The skirt is made out of a piece of scrap fabric and adhered to another piece including her legs.  Then I glued the top half of the digi over the bottom half.

I chose several pieces from different collections for my tag!  This cutie girl is Luna a digital stamp; she is listening to the little bird from Bird Frames SVG Cutting File.  The flower vine is Flowers 2 Cutting File.   All papers are from Octavia Moonfly Paper Heaven 5 and Paper Heaven 4.  The fence is cut from Winnie Special Moments -Embellishments on Distressed Wood paper.  The flowers are from the Work & Play Collection 12  and the sentiment is from Work & Play 8.  Finally, the tag cuts are from Winnie Sugar Sprinkles and Winnie in Wonderland!

Scandinavian Girl

It's been a long time since I've played with the old Cricut Imagine Cartridges.  This Girl and Squirrel are from the Snow Angel Cartridge.  I never had the Imagine machine, but I could use the cartridges once print and cut was available.

The mitten cut is from Holiday Gift Tags.

The oval and scalloped oval are from the Close to My Heart Art Philosophy Cartridge.

Speaking of scallops, that is the new twist for our Anything Goes challenge over at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday.   Our sponsor is Your Next Stamp.

Wish

Today I decided to try something I've not done before; I made a Bendi-Card from different patterns.  I went into Cricut and made the two front panels by flattening the digis onto the shapes.  Then I used cut and print for the trees, front panel on left and 2 right panels.

I adhered the painted trees to the left panel and the colored right panel to a *liner panel*.  I glued the tabs on the panels to the back of the card.  To finish, I adhered a 2nd back panel to cover the tabs.

I played with different media on this card including watercolors, Copics, glitter, glitter glue, gel pens, and computer.  Lots of fun and experimenting here!

I learned as I went along and the big advice I can give is this:  *Remember if you Copic Color to print/cut the extra panel to go behind ~ liner panel!  ;)  Obviously, the ink goes through the cardstock!

Papers, sentiment and digis are from Winnie in Winterland.

Steppin' Bohemian Peacock

The new theme over at Cut It Up is One Step at a Time...in other words we want to see a step card!

I had a lot of fun with my Cricut on this one since I designed a step card cut in DS, used the scoring tool and put the writing tool into play!  Let me explain...

I hate to measure!  I hate to hand cut!  Yes, I'll do it if I'm forced to go that direction, but the truth is I'll work twice as long to create the cut in Design Space and let the machine do the work!  ;)  I started with a rectangle and added 2 very, very skinny (.011 width) rectangles.  I then brought in seven (7) score lines and placed them.  I selected all of that and hit the attach button.  Instant center step card!

I used the "write" tool to make the feathers on the front of the bird instead of cutting them.  I used a Cricut Silver Pen and then went over the centers of them with a gold gel pen.  I'm not sure why, but my camera had a difficult time capturing that detail without blurring it!

This fun peacock cut and gorgeous digital designer paper are all  from our sponsor this month ~ Fleurette Bloom.

Design Sheets

This adorable duo is from Horace & Boo Design Sheet 8.  Background, foliage, and flowers are all from the same Pre-colored sheet with lots of cute pieces left over!  The pre-colored Design Sheets are full of fun for quick crafting.  Simply print, cut, and arrange!  You can add tons of embellishments or keep them flat for mailing!  Either way, they make for adorable cards, layouts, and other crafts!

Here I have chosen to use flowers, leaves, background and focal digi from the sheet.  All I added were a few gems and twine.

The sentiment is found in the Horace & Boo Big Kahuna Collection.

Faux Stitches

The new twist for our Anything Goes challenge over at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday is Faux Stitching.   I decided to take the twist into a sewing direction with this adorable pre-colored digi from Polkadoodles; she is part of the Winston Collection.

Going along with the sewing/fabric theme used in some quilting designs, I used ALL scraps!  Scraps of sewing pattern, ribbon, fabric, paper, twine, thread,,,, even the flower and tag had been cut long ago and were in the scrap box!

Truth is, even the focal digi had been printed months ago and was in the same box!

My sewing sweetie is off to the following challenges:
