5 Minute Friday Video: Organize Markers

Here's the last video in my 5 Minute Friday September Series.  However, I have a disclaimer...it's almost 7 minutes long!  Sorry about that!  But, the extra time is worth this inexpensive way to store markers!  This is a quick, easy way to make some marker storage.  You can custom make marker tower(s) to fit your work space!  Build them wider, taller, or with bigger/smaller tubes!  It's up to you!

The pictures above and below were a gift for my daughter!  I used designer papers from CTMH; the papers are all long retired now!

Material List:  PVC pipe, hot glue, paper of choice, double sided tape and glue

Check out the video below for instructions on how to make this marker tower!

My tower is off to the following challenges:
Use Your Stuff:  Upcycle/Recycle (short pieces of PVC pipe and single sheets of paper!)
TTCRD:  AG

Curiosity is the new optional theme over at Path of Positivity!  What makes you curious?  What can we do to inspire curiosity in others?

I chose to create with this curious little BugBooksitter as she looks just like the little one who will be using this bookmark!  I also love that her little legs can hang over the page!

We love books in our family and when we are curious we reach for a book, so this image is perfect for the curiosity that runs in our family!

Fun with Farm Friends!

The new theme for the Cut It Up challenge is Farm Friends!  Create any type of project, but don't forget your die cuts!!

These adorable dies are from ScrappyDew!  I have combined the horse and rider from Cowboy Kids 2012 through the vault membership and the barn from FarmPalz.  The Vault Membership is a great deal since you can download so many great dies!  If you enjoy dies, you really need to check out this opportunity!

This little sweetie and her steed are from the Cowboy Kids.  There are several layers here and makes for a very substantial cut!

I have chosen to use several different papers, a lace and a gem to embellish.  The sparkle you can see is actually in the paper.

The barn below is simply cut and inked.  I did add the star and some black sparkle paint to the fence boards.

I rounded out the layout with some ribbons, lace, and stamping!

Now, for some added fun; why don't you check out this video launching my September 5 Minute Fridays!  This week I'm featuring a video on "Die Cut Makeovers"!  This will give you a quick idea how I enjoy turning plain dies into textured/inked/interesting die cuts for cards, layouts, bags, and other projects!

See it below or check out my YouTube Channel to join in the fun!

PoP Curiosity

Curiosity is the new optional theme over at Path of Positivity!  What makes you curious?  What can we do to inspire curiosity in others?

I chose to repurpose/remake a composition notebook into a book for my 11 year old grandgirl to record things that make her curious!  I thought it would be fun for her to write, draw, hypothesize, dream, record the things that she ponders right now in her life.

Funny how things that ponder an 11 year old also ponder me.  How do lightening bugs (fireflies) work?  Are there fairies, angels, elves?  Why do some people get sick?  Why are there very nice people and others who aren't so nice?  Why do people care about the silly things they do...clothes, stuff, etc?  Why does vanilla smell so good in the bottle, but taste so bad?  (hee hee)  Why is chocolate a boring color but tastes sooooo good!  Yes, there are so many curious things to ponder in life!

Ava School Sign It 2 from Bugaboo makes for the perfect front cover for this special book.  I used paper from Polkadoodles Octavia which has a whimsical butterfly pattern and tags cut with my Cricut.

My pondering book is off to these challenges:
CRAFT:  Back to school
Creative Knockouts:  Something to Say
Crafter's Castle:  AG option Back to School
As You Like It:  Fav way to add text~ for me it is either typed or stamped!  I like typing because I can use so many different fonts and adjust sizes!
