White on White with a Pop of Color!

Our last theme of 2019 is White on White with a Pop of Color!  This was a real challenge for me since I really like pattern papers and such, but I accomplished it with this great card/envelope cut from Dreaming Tree!  Come over to Cut It Up and share your ideas!

This is a FREE cut from Dreaming Tree and has a Pop Up in the middle!  Thank You Pop Up Card is perfect for a thank you or you can leave it blank in the middle and use it as a note card, birthday, anniversary or other!  This is such a versatile design!  I chose to leave the pop up out and use it as a notecard.

To get some variation for my white on white, I embossed my background with a floral M-Bossabilities folder.  I then cut the flower (included with the set) in red as well as the envelope insert.  I added a white ribbon to get one more layer of white on white!  ;)

When you visit the Cut It Up blog, have fun viewing the DT projects and check out the rules and prize info.  Then be sure to share your project with us ~ don't forget the die cut to have a chance to win a prize from our amazing sponsors.

This notecard is off to the following challenges:

Merry Christmas from ScrappyHorses!

Merry Christmas!

Ok, now what would you expect to see on my blog on Christmas Eve?

Homemade gifts are always so much fun to give and receive!  This one is such an easy make.  A horseshoe, some flowers from stash, a ribbon off a horse purchase in my stash, and cardboard!  That's it!  Well and the horse head from stash, also.  You could always substitute a button or another flower.

Now, possibly you don't have any horseshoes laying about.....  Hmmmm...do you know a good farrier?  Only kidding, you can usually pick them up at your local farm store.  I believe I got a size 0.  It really doesn't matter, you'll just cut your photo to fit the shoe!

Tractor Supply 1 pair for about $6

Back the shoe and pic with some cardstock (I used black) then back that with some heavy cardstock.  To make it stand, I used a 2 inch corner brace.  I bent it in slightly and glued it on with E6000.  Upon reflection, I think I would use a wider corner brace to make it a bit sturdier.  This one worked, but I just like things really sturdy!  You could probably find this at your local farm store, also!

Hey, you can pick up your cat/dog/horse/chicken/cattle/goat/etc supplies while you're there craft shopping!  Oh, and don't forget, they have lots of candy there, also!  One shop stop!

This gift idea is off to the following challenges:

Last minute wrapping!

Less than a week 'til Christmas and I'm wrapping stag, the paper was flying and I couldn't find a bag!  Ugh!  The gifts are done, but no way to wrap!  Gotta get this all done in a snap!

So, I run to design space and look for a sack, and remember that great Kraft paper I won not too far back!  I put it all together with a simple Scribbles tree,  and then decided to do a larger one....who knows I might make three!

This gift bag cut is from SVG Cuts and is my "go to" for a larger size bag!  You can cut a bag that measures approximately 11.5 inches wide, by 8.75 inches tall, by 4 inches deep. That is large enough for a large sweatshirt!  ....ask me how I know!  ;)
This festive digital tree paper is from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles and won from the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up.  You can find the tree paper in the Welcome to the North Pole Kit.

With a little lace, burlap, a few gems and some green bias tape the bags are complete!  I popped a tag with a free image from Scribbles Designs and my gift is ready!

Peace: Part 3...Love is the answer!

Peace is the optional theme over at Path of Positivity.  I'm continuing down a  path wondering where do we find peace during the bustling holiday season.

Well, I started with finding peace by listening to animals and learning how they find joy in the moment.  Then I wandered into quiet reflection with a treat!  Yumm!  But I suppose real peace is found in love!  The love of family, friends, tradition/religion, pets, memories, etc.

Wishing you all great joy, peace, and love this holiday season!

This digi, Patties Hearts from Pattie's Creations is the perfect combination of love and peace for the holidays!  It sort of reminds me of a heart mistletoe!

Peace: Where do you find it? Part 2

Peace is the optional theme over at Path of Positivity.  I'm continuing down a  path wondering where do we find peace during the bustling holiday season.

I have to say, one place I truly find some solitude is just taking a moment to myself and enjoying a treat!  Yep, a hot mocha drink is usually my "go to" to find some peace and quiet during the holidays.

This digi, #8127 Holiday Cafe from Scribbles Designs, made for the perfect scene on this mug that holds a gift card or packet of cocoa/tea/cider/etc!  The coordinating envelope is 3-D so there is some depth for the beverage mix!

The papers are from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.  You can find the snowflake paper in the Welcome to the North Pole Kit and that wonderful mug paper is from the kit A Krafty Christmas.

Quick, Fun Card

Here's a quick, fun card idea!

I went into Cricut to design this card using the silhouette digi stamp from QKR Stampede called Roping Santa Silhouette.  I put a fence from Polkadoodles Country life behind it and brought in a sentiment from the Cricut Access.

Once it was all put into place, I clicked "Flatten" and it was ready to print and cut!  Rub a little blue ink over the print and we're ready for fun!

I pulled out the blingy glues/gels and lit up the bulbs!

Put it all together with some black to frame it out, add a sentiment inside and we're done!

Forest Friends Christmas

Having some fun Holiday coloring time over here with a delightful image from Polkadoodles.  As many of you know, I love these images and it's so fun to color them!

This image is Winnie Heavenly Angel Forest Friends.  The background paper is from Winnie Winterland.  I popped the image and frame cut from Cricut onto a double layer of cereal box to give it dimension and added some Prima flowers with a red bow.

Now, as for my Copic coloring, I added some texture by dipping some cheesecloth into Copic 0 and pressed it over her coat and hat.  The tree color was achieved with G99, G85, G21, and then a glaze of BG53.  The snow was a bit of B90.  Her dress and scarf were B05, B02, B00, and B000.  I glazed that with a BG15.

Material List
Copic markers
Gel Pens
Cereal Box for layering
Bo Bunny Double Dot Gems
Prima Flowers and Ribbon from stash
Cricut Access for frame (Lacy Labels:  Frame with Snowflakes)
Sparkle Cardstock

Peace: Where do you find it?

Peace is the optional theme over at Path of Positivity!

Now, I realize not everyone finds peace with animals, and especially not a puppy!  Haha  At our house, there is no peace without the chaos of animals running through the house and barn.

We have a couple of little ones running around:  a Golden, Khloe and a German
Shepherd, Luther.  I remember when we brought Khloe home, she was such a handful!  We hadn't had a pup in years and we had forgotten how crazy they were!

There is certainly craziness, yet we find a sort of peace with our pups.  Sometimes, just living in the moment brings peace.  I think that is what dogs do best!  When they are out chasing that ball, they don't worry about dinner or work.  It's all about the joy of the chase.  When Luther lays on the couch with me in the evening, he doesn't worry about what he will do the next day.  He simply enjoys the peace and quiet of the evening.

During the holiday season, I'm going to look for that special peace that can only be found in the moment!

*   *   *

My card features Lab with Presents from Pattie's Creations.  However, I sort of tried to make this lab look like a Golden with long, messy hair!  Our Golden is red, so I went with more reddish undertones.
