The Unexpected Fence Clearing

 A journal page...

As we meander a Path of Positivity, we are challenging you to create something inspired by The Unexpected. Of course, you can share anything positive you like, the theme is always optional.

Now this theme is a bit tricky this month!  The idea is to reflect upon the past and create a project based upon an unexpected event that changed your life.  Lisa explains it very well over at PoP; so you might want to drop by for her explanation.

Remember, you may share any sort of artistic medium over at PoP:  writing, cards, journals, scrapbooking, painting, sewing, baking, needle crafts, etc as long as it is positive.  The theme is always optional.

I noticed this cherry tomato plant unexpectedly in May of 2024 growing outside my riding arena.  The wind blew it in and it bloomed where it landed!  I ate tomatoes from the plant for over 4 months.

If this plant can do it, so can I.

  2. This is awesome and works very well for describing the 'unexpected'. In mid-December, my unexpected was a flat tire. Luckily I was in the driveway and had only gone a few feet when I realized something wasn't right. The week before it was a $700 unexpected of the washer's agitator/motor belt no longer working! The repairman said that we got 2-3 more years out of our washer than what the current expectancies are! Too many 2017 wasn't that long ago for an appliance but it was another of those life unexpecteds! I like your idea of blooming and thriving in unexpected locations! The journaling page is terrific and the scale is attention-getting! Thanks for creating and sharing with FQGS!

    1. Wow, sounds like you've had some 'not so positive' "unexpecteds" in your life! I remember when appliances has a long life...as I'm sure you remember, also. As you know, I've had a few negatives the past year, but I'm still looking for the positives to come from those!
