It's the first Monday of the month and that means a new challenge over at Path of Positivity! Our theme this month, which is always optional, is Festivities! Now, how time appropriate is that for the month of December going into the New Year!
I have chosen to work with Bugaboo Peace Love Joy Angel. Such a perfect image for Christmas! Christmas is such a festive time with all the music, lights, and bustle. It seems family and friends are right around the corner and we seem to relive joyous times from our past.
It seems I always think of Christmases with my grandparents. They were so delightful, though each set brought very different types of decor, food, and energy to the event. Then when I married, I learned to celebrate in new and different ways. I supposed now 30-some years later, our Christmas is a combination of all the past Christmas holidays!

I started with my image and colored with Copics. All of the gold was done with a gel pen. I tore the edges and backed it with a dark blue. I turned to a beautiful piece of snowflake paper from Decosses Dynamite Doodles and wrapped it with gold thread and a multi-bow! The bottom layer is a piece of white CS covered in Gold Pigment ink, dried, and stamped with an old flourish stamp.
Thanks for stopping by; PoP on over to the challenge and see what the rest of the team is doing and share with us your thoughts, art, and inspirations! Our themes are optional now, so we'd love to see anything positive you've been working on even if it doesn't exactly fit the theme.
Christmas is like that. When families blend, new traditions are made! :)
