The new optional twist for our Anything Goes challenge over at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday is Polka Dot Christmas.
My image this week is Softly from our wonderful sponsor A Day for Daisies. Be sure to check out all their adorable images. Looks like they have some new holiday images in the shop!
This was such a lovely image and it feels like the angel is ready to deliver the new baby to the manger.
My goal was to make her appear sort of as a cameo coming out of the frame. So once I lightly Copic colored the image and outlined the wings with a gel pen, I adhered the bottom to the frame. The frame was cut in Design Space and heat embossed using Ranger Enchanted Gold powder. I glued the frame down flat as well as the bottom of her gown. I placed a piece of 3-D foam under the bottom of the circle. This popped the top part up off of the card.
As for the paper under the angel, it started out blue. I rubbed in purple and dark blue inks. I finished with black around the edges. I left it to dry and then heat embossed the sentiment. Finally, time for the polka dots....stars! I went with my Signo Uni-Ball Broad pt.
