Strength and Courage Quotes

As we meander a Path of Positivity, we are challenging you to create something inspired by Quotes about Strength/Courage!  Of course, you can share anything positive you like, the theme is always optional.

I chose to create in my art journal with this quote from the PoP list of quotes:  “Life doesn’t get easier or more forgiving, we get stronger and more resilient.” — Steve Maraboli

Remember, you may share any sort of artistic medium over at PoP:  writing, cards, journals, scrapbooking, painting, sewing, baking, needle crafts, etc as long as it is positive!  The theme is always optional.

Photography

Time for a new challenge at The Outlawz Anything Goes in a Card Free Zone
and the optional theme is...World Photography Day!  Use a Photo in your project or include something photography inspired.

I love photography and can spend hours setting up shots and thinking of new ways to shoot 'the same ol' stuff'!  Believe it or not, I have lots of horse photos...hahaha!  So, I decided to focus more on some creative takes on the headstall and bit.  Luckily, I have a horse who will stand for photos!  He knows it is a lot easier than working!  ;)

Then I took my photos and edited in I-photo and PhotoScape.

Once I was happy with the pics, the fun began in Canva.  Here I played with digital papers, elements, and shadows.  I'm still learning Canva; it's an interesting program.

If you are interested in learning Canva techniques, I recommend the videos by Sande Woodson!  Here's a link to her channel.
She is quite knowledgeable about this technology/crafting medium!

I finished the project in PhotoScape where I added the frame and watermark.

Material List:
Digital Elements from Canva and Stash
Digital Elements from Kitten Scraps (Retired), but you can find her designs here:  My Memories
Digital Elements Touched by a Butterfly "Music"  (Retired)
Digital Paper from Whimsy

Inspired by Music

It's time for a new challenge over at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday and the optional twist is Inspired by Music!

Video Tutorial

I chose to create a card inspired by the Musical Rent.  This sentiment is from "Seasons of Love," probably the most popular song in the musical.  My card was also inspired by the Rent publicity art.

Here is the inside of my card with a birthday greeting to go along with the lyrics on the outside of the card!

CAS at CIU

Our new challenge over at Cut It Up is 'CAS'; we want to see clean and simple projects using a die cut!

As some of you probably know, CAS is not my thing.  I love CAS when I see it, but I just don't do much in that style.  So when I do, I suppose I take it quite literally!  hahaha  Black and white CAS!

Here's a video sharing my card.  There's not much to assembling this card, but I do want to share how I made this treble clef into a 'thicker' die cut.  I have been seeing crafters who are new to Cricut Design Space having issues cutting dies that are too delicate/thin.  So, I wanted to offer a solution to the issue.  I also share a solution to color issues with some imports.

Come share your projects with us at Cut It Up.  Remember to include a die cut for this challenge!
