As we meander a Path of Positivity, we are thinking about how music affects us and our positivity. Our optional twist is Music: Good for the Soul!
As promised in my Mar 1 post, I am sharing my musical alter-ego! hahaha Now, I may be an oboist, but I did grow up in the '70's! That means I listened to all the great music that shaped the rock/pop era!
One of the many songs on my 'feel good/take me back' playlist is Dancing in the Moonlight recorded by Kink Harvest in '72 not to be confused with Shadows in the Moonlight recorded by Anne Murray in '79! Both fun songs, but....
Now when I listen to this song while cleaning the barn, the horses actually get to see me dancing in the barn aisles. Yes, it's true! When I'm alone in the barn, I dance to old '70's music while cleaning...and Kelly wonders why it takes me so long and why I usually come in happy! Of course, the smirk on the Thunder's face might one day give me away! ;)
So, what's on my playlist in the barn? I'll tell you it's a bit different than the one in the house. I'll save the house play list for another time, but here are a lucky 13 tunes from my barn list that are sure to get me singing at the top of my lungs and or dancing in the aisles.
Allentown ~ Billy Joel
Like a Prayer ~ Madonna
My Wish ~ Rascal Flats
Heart Hotels ~ Dan Fogelberg
September ~ Earth, Wind and Fire
Neverland Medley ~ Kenny Loggins
Rick E's in Love ~ Rickie Lee Jones
Kyrie ~ Mister Mister
Live Like You Were Dying ~Tim McGraw
Sweetheart ~ Frankie and the Knockouts
Freeze-Frame ~ J Geils Band
Run for the Roses ~ Dan Fogelberg
Sunset Grill ~ Don Henley

About my journal page:
I decided to celebrate my feel good playlist with this journal page featuring Dancing in the Moonlight!
Here's a bit about this King Harvest tune: "Its lyrics depict a fantasy of everyone being able to get together in the spirit of dancing and having a great time under the moon, and it’s got a dreamy, intensely happy feel to it that always reminds us of those long nights that turn into early mornings with great friends." https://iloveclassicrock.com/dancing-in-the-moonlight/

As soon as I saw your card, the song started going through my head, lol. I also came of age in the 70's so your playlist (including the current songs) seem pretty perfect to me. The disco images are perfect. Thanks for joining us at BBTB2.
ReplyDeleteOne of my boys gives a lovely toothy smile like that as well, maybe he is actually singing and I didn't realise?
ReplyDeleteA lovely music themed creation although it does look mainly die cuts, WLCB is a stamping challenge which must be the main focus of your work, but it's still lovely you joined our I Love theme.
