Progressive Challenge at The Outlawz

Time for the Progressive Challenge over at The Outlawz!  Every month we get a free digi to use however we like!  Thanks so much to Diane from Di's Digis for this adorable image!

I chose to use mine as a tag for a Santa Gift at my house.  I'm sure many of you have also been contacted by the Jolly Ol' Elf to help out with some tags or gift wrap.  Who knew Santa had cute little mice helping out at the North Pole!  ; )

Want to play along?  It's easy; simply head over to The Outlawz and find the challenges at the top of the home page.  Then go to Progressive Challenge.  The directions to join are there!  Not a member of The Outlawz?  Hey, that's easy to fix, too.  Simply join at the site; lots of prizes, beautiful inspiration, some free digis, and fun!

Thanks for dropping by today.  It's always great to have company!  Please feel free to peruse other pages/posts or view some of my videos at my YouTube Channel.

PoP Kitten Scraps

I can't believe it's the middle of the month; it's time for a reflective moment with Path of Positivity!  This month our theme is appreciation; now that's very timely since here in the US we celebrate Thanksgiving.  Now, as we near mid-November and celebrate Thanksgiving in the US this week, we are looking ahead to the holidays in December as well as looking back at the year as it comes to its close.

2016 has been full of celebrations to remember and appreciate.  The layout above is a lovely remembrance of Baby Cass's baptism.  Such a lovely day where her Papa held her as her mommy and daddy looked on.  Obviously my husband was overjoyed with this honor.

Here at our house, we celebrate Christmas and we all have an appreciation for the religious and secular traditions surrounding the holiday.  I personally love the beautiful decor, twinkling lights, and mystery of the wrapped gifts under the tree.

I have appreciation for our tradition of feeding the barn animals extra feed on Christmas Eve night before church.

I hold deep appreciation for my church and the beautiful services celebrating the manger scene so long ago.

Sometimes it is so difficult to appreciate the beauty around us if it is clouded by fear or uncertainty.

My holiday wish is to have that cloud dissipated and true appreciation and joy experienced by all.

These beautiful papers, fonts, and elements are all from KittenScraps!  I had so much fun working with the Luv U 2 Pieces Bundle!  I believe it was designed for Valentine's Day, but these beautiful paper designs are perfect for any holiday!

Magic Spinner!

It's Thursday and you know what that means....time for a challenge over at Twisted Thursday Challenge over at The Outlawz!  Our optional theme this week is Christmas Magic and what's more magical than a spinner card?  hahaha

I started with an adorable image from Bugaboo.  I then cut a candy cane from white cardstock and colored in my own stripes.  I'm no artist, but I felt compelled to color a back for little Ava.  (You can see that picture to the right. )  That way when she spins it's not plain white cardstock.

I made the spinner by cutting Ava and the candy cane twice.  Then I colored each side and adhered Ava.  I place fishing line between the two candy cane pieces and adhered them together.  Finally, Ava got to go for her ride!  ; )

Material List:
Copics
CTMH Paper/Cardstock:  Pomegranate, White Daisy, Uptown Fundamentals
CTMH Stamp for sentiment:  White Pines Cardmaking (retired)
CTMH Ink:  Pomegranate

Ava is spinning off to the following challenges:
Catch the Bug:  Going in Circles  (Ava is literally spinning in circles!)

Light-Hearted Fun!

I have the pleasure of sharing my crafting ideas with a wonderful group of crafters at our local library.  Every month we get together and we make something paper related.  We've done mini scrapbooks, scrapbook pages, cards, canvases, etc.

I thought since our class falls during Thanksgiving week, it might be fitting to do a fun/simple project to break up the cooking and housecleaning!

This paper pack from CTMH was just the ticket to some light-hearted fun ~~ especially combined with this cheery tree tag from Artistry.  Class won't be messy or long, but I do think it will be lots of fellowship and laughter ......and we all need that from time to time.

Material List:
CTMH Cardstock/Paper:  City Sidewalks
CTMH Cartridge:  Artistry
Embellishments:  CTMH Baker's Twine Cranberry, Darice Sequins

My card is off to the following challenges:

Between the Folds:  City Sidewalks

Thanks for dropping by today; I'm so happy you came by for a visit!  Feel free to check out other pages/posts, leave me comments or questions, or check out my YouTube Videos.

Get Well with Bugaboo

It's Thursday and time for a Twisted Thursday Challenge over at The Outlawz.  This week's twist is Get Well card.

Bugaboo is sponsoring our challenge this week, so I chose to start with the image Sign It Kidz Flowers.  This is a very versatile stamp and can be used with any sentiment one chooses!  I imported her into Design Space, typed in my sentiment and used the print and cut feature.  I colored this little sweetie and her flowers and then gave her a colorful dotted background.  Then I added even more color with the two sheets of background paper.  It was all tied up with a little grosgrain ribbon.

Appreciation

The first Monday of the month is here and that means it's time for a reflective moment with Path of Positivity!  This month our theme is appreciation; now that's very timely since here in the US we celebrate Thanksgiving.  As I contemplated this idea of appreciation I had several ideas I wanted to express; therefore, I went to my journal so I could put it all together in one piece.

I started with the idea of the Native American and this adorable digi from A Day For Daisies.  I personally cannot think of Thanksgiving without remembering the incredible contribution from the inspiring people native to our country.  I have great admiration for their skills, talents, arts, philosophies, stories, etc.  I'm very appreciative of their culture and what they contribute to our country.

Next, I found this beautiful quote about appreciation from Dalai Lama.  Of course, as I read this I was reminded of the Christian parable found in both the books of Mark and Luke.  This is the parable where Christ shares the story of the seed falling onto different types of soil.  This brings me back around to this sweet little girl planting her seed so carefully!

So, there is my path this month!  I didn't meander too far this month......ok, I wandered many different paths, but at least I stayed on paths this month!  ; )

Sweet Unicorn!

It's Thursday and time for a Twisted Thursday Challenge over at The Outlawz!  Yay!  This month we are sponsored by Bugaboo and we have some really fun optional twists for you.  We are starting off the month with Tags as our twist.

I chose to use Sweet Unicorn from Bugaboo.  I started in Design Space by cutting my tree.......wait, why am I doing all this typing when I can just show you the video?  Ok, grab a cup of coffee, cocoa, tea, cider or whatever your fall beverage choice is and relax while I show you how I did this cut.

Ok, now that you've seen how I did the cut, I sponged the tag with ink and added some dots of glitter glue.  I painted the unicorn with Liquid Glass and sprinkled glitter over him because unicorns should sparkle!  Then I colored her horn gold and highlighted the mane and tail with glitter glue!

Once my glue was dry, I assembled it using 3-D tape, acetate alternative, and cardstock.  I used pink sequins, seed gems, and silver star sequins inside.

I finished it off with the Magical sentiment, some twine, and the enamel stars.

To the right, you can see another tag I did in different colors.

Material List:
Copics on the hooves
CTMH Cardstock:  White Daisy, Pear
CTMH Inks:  Lemon, Blossom, Thistle
CTMH Cartridges:  Art Philosophy, Artfully Sent
CTMH Embellishments:  Poppy Thick Twine, White Enamel Stars, Liquid Glass
Embellishments:  Studio G Glitter Glue, Fine Glitter, Spare Parts Star Sequins and Pink Sequins, Seed Gems

My unicorn is loping off to the following Challenges:
TTCRD:  AG

I'm so happy you dropped by for a visit today!  Be sure to head over to The Outlawz to see what the team has to share and then come back and show us what you've been up to in your craft room!  Remember the twist of a tag is optional; our challenge is always Anything Goes!  Before you go, please feel free to check out other posts/pages, leave me a comment, and/or visit my YouTube Channel.

Best Friends

I am so delighted to be guest over at DigiStamps4Joy!  This beautiful image is called Best Friends and can be found HERE.  When I saw this image I couldn't help seeing the image of this sweet little girl sharing her Christmas dreams with her furry friend!

Now, I realize this is intended to be an outdoor scene of these two buddies sitting outside in the grass, but I couldn't help myself.  I turned the grass into a multi-colored rug sitting on wood flooring.  I'm not much of an artist really, so I sponged in my tree using CTMH inks and a stencil I created with my Cricut.  Then I added baseboard, wall, window, and night sky with Copics.

I decorated the tree with Bo Bunny Gems, gold thread, and Enamel Stars from CTMH.  The outdoor stars were dotted in using a Uniball white pen.

There are so many beautiful Christmas images to peruse over at Digistamps4Joy, but I had so much fun changing the season and the traditional intent of this digi.

I'm so happy you dropped by for a visit today!  Please feel free to check out other posts/pages, leave me a comment, and/or visit my YouTube Channel.
