Summer Lovin' at Cut It Up

Our new challenge over at Cut It Up is Summer Lovin'.  What comes to mind when you hear that phrase?  Having been a teen in the late '70's and a movie buff, of course, it can be none other than Grease with...swoon...John Travolta!  hahaha

Yep, a movie about the 1950's in the 1970's was sure to appeal to a wide variety of movie goers and the music definitely was a selling point!

So for me it's all about music, movies, drive in theaters, cars, etc.  Therefore, I break out the movie goodies with a popcorn box full of popcorn and movie candy!

Journaling Music 4: Ghosts

I'm experimenting with a new series of art journaling inspired by my favorite music! This is my fourth layout and features art inspired by "Ghosts" by Dan Fogelberg!

I really admire the lyrics in this song and the haunting English Horn solo is phenomenal!  The simplicity of the beginning is perfectly reminiscent of childhood and moves into a sort of Symphonic Rock Genre...and then comes that English horn!  We all know what that means......  It comes to a conclusion with a rock ballad feel moving into the simple ghostly simplicity!

Great writing, wonderful arranging and the perfect Fogelberg sound!

If you missed my other layouts, you can find the blogposts HEREHERE, and HERE.

Check out the video below for ideas and info about how this layout was created.  You won't hear the song there, due to copyright and such, but you can listen to the above links!  ;)
