This is the Busy Bee Chore Board for my little Grand-Girl who will be spending part of the summer with me!  It has magnets and a chalkboard for us to write down and post the important things each day.  This cute pre-colored image and bees are all from the Winnie Fruit Punch Design Sheet called Honey Buzzy Bee.  I added the coordinating paper and word art title!

Design Sheets are so quick and easy to use since everything is pre-colored.

It's a new release over at Polkadoodles!  Winnie is back and she is sharing some special days in her new collection Winnie Special Moments.  This collection includes delightful summer images, fun/carefree papers, and tons of creative embellishments/ephemera.

This combination made it perfect for a Summer Planner!  I chose to make it small enough to fit in a bag or purse to carry with me when I'm out shopping or waiting for appointments/students.  So, grab a glass of cool lemonade and take a few minutes to watch the video(s) below to get a better idea of the planner design.

This video is about a minute and shows pictures of the pages.

This 2nd video is about 3 minutes and shows a mini tour of how the pages work with some written comments.

Fun Folds!

Time for a new Cut It Up challenge and the theme is Fun Folds.

I decided t go with a birthday card this week.  I know somewhat traditional, but believe me the fold is not!

I chose to use the Card with Flip Front in the Assorted Card Folds Set 2 from Cutting Cafe.  This is a very fun set of cards with interesting folds and very easy to use!

Front of Card
The scallop cut and square are part of the Set, so there is no searching for a piece or measuring there.  They make it very easy!

To keep this card simple, I used a pre-colored Design Sheet (Polkadoodles Winnie Fruit Punch Design Sheet: For You) to decorate the front.  My "happy" cut is from CTMH Artbooking.

When I adhered the front pieces, I put dimension by popping up the polka-dotted boxes.  I also glued down the sentiment with dimension.

Inside left of Card

You will want to hop on over to Cut It Up to check out the details on the prize from Cutting Cafe, other DT projects and requirements!

I enjoyed the card cuts from this sponsor so much, I used two of the card designs as pages in a Junk Journal!  Keep an eye out for that on June 2 in the next Cut It Up Challenge----and no, that is NOT any sort of hint about the theme!  hahaha  You'll have to wait to see what the theme is in June!  ; )

Helga and Buttons

Today I have a special gift bag with Sweet Helga Blush, Helga paper, and Sentiment.  You can find all her papers, sentiments and more here.  My buttons are on the hat pins!

This bag started in Design Space with a simple box cut.  I then cut a hat in pink and using 'print and cut' I cut another slightly smaller hat in design paper from Polkadoodles Helga collection.  I also print and cut Helga and the tag.

Once it was all cut, I colored Helga with Copics.  I made the box and adhered the pieces of the hat front adding Prima flowers, seam binding, pearl/lace, and stick pins.  The pins were made with some beads and buttons on corsage pins.

Sweet Helga is off to the following challenges:

Present...Not Perfect Midway

This month over at Path of Positivity we are pondering the idea of Present, Not Perfect.  As I said at the beginning of the month, I have been pondering this idea for a while and have had a difficult time putting this into practice!  I am a prime example of waiting for the "right" time.

I will say, I have been working on this and although the timing was not perfect we planned a horse-camping weekend.  I had committed to it, but then we had rain/flooding and every place was closed!  Ok, I can't take responsibility for backing out this time.  I was bound to make something happen; so, my riding buddy came over and we rode around my lot and cooked burgers on the grill.

My horse was NOT perfect, but it didn't matter!  We still had a great time and got some work done in the arena with another horse/rider present.  We are one step closer to a better trail experience in the future.

I adore this image from Pickled Potpourri!  I sometimes feel like this little girl looking out the window waiting and wishing for the perfect time.
*   *   *

About my Card
I started by sizing all the pieces (widow/shutters, girl front, girl back) and sizing the card front and base in Cricut Design Space.  I used the weld feature for the girl front and shutters so they would be one piece.  I used print and cut for the pieces and imported digital paper for the wallpaper.  I flattened text on the pieces as well.

I colored this little dreamer with Copic markers and adhered the pieces.

Material List:
Copic Markers
Digital Paper:  Polkadoodles
Pear Cardstock:  CTMH
Quote by me!

We are sponsored this month by Imagine That! Digi Stamp and Pickled Potpourri

Thanks for stopping by; PoP on over to the challenge and see what the rest of the team is doing and share with us your thoughts, art, and inspirations!  Our themes are optional now, so we'd love to see anything positive you've been working on even if it doesn't exactly fit the theme.

Flowers and Lace

The new challenge over at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday has a lovely theme this week!  Our theme, which is always optional, is Flowers and Lace and our sponsor for the month is PPinky.

I printed the image, Circus Elephant, on Arches cold press watercolor paper and used watercolor pencils from CTMH to color up this adorable performer.  I'm working in this medium to see how I like it. So, as for this month's Outlawz projects, it's watercolor and Ppinky here for me!

I pulled some Offray lace and assorted Prima flowers to embellish.  The background paper is from KaiserCraft XO Collection.  It has been in my stash for awhile, but I think you can still find it on clearance!

Remember our twist is anything goes.  Be sure to share with us whatever is in your workspace; we'd love to see it!

Thinking About Summer...

Thinking about summer over here means getting horses ready to show and onto the fairgrounds.  So, that made this week the perfect time to share this layout of my grand-girl and our miniature horse Charlie!  I chose to color up Horse Riding Digital Stamp (which can also be found in the Work and Play 6 Collection), make flowers from the Work and Play 12 (Science/Geek, etc), and use Quotes, Papers and Ephemera from Winnie in Wonderland.

I started by placing the Riding Digi and Dream quote on the beautiful floral paper in my Mac Notes program.  I printed that 12 x12 sheet.  I removed the digi and printed one more 12x12 sheet of paper including the quote.  I flipped that sheet and printed another floral pattern on the back of it for use later.

On a separate sheet I printed the small cards (Ephemera) including the quote.

I cut the Dream quote from the paper and used the remainder of the paper to cut flowers from the SVG flower cuts in the Work & Play 12.  This is why I printed the back of this sheet; now the parts of the flowers sticking up has a print on it.

The digi is colored with Copics.  I distressed the edges and tore out the edge.  I placed some of the back side of the paper (I had printed for the flowers and quote) under the torn out section.

Material List
Digi ~ Polkadoodles Horse Riding Digital Stamp
Copics
Paper ~ Polkadoodles Winnie in Wonderland
Ephemera Cards ~ Polkadoodles Winnie in Wonderland
SVG Flower Cuts ~ Polkadoodles Work and Play 12
Gems ~ Leftovers in Stash

Journal with ULA and Listening!

Here's ULA again!  This time she is appearing in my fun journal.  This is a journal where I like to experiment and try different ideas and quotes that are just for me!  I would encourage all crafters to have one of these.  It's fun to create for me and not worry about someone else understanding or even appreciating the topic.

However, I'm sure you will all love and appreciate this image and quote available from Polkadoodles.  This charming digi is called ULA-Be Yourself; she comes with 2 sentiments.  You can find her HERE.

My page includes ULA standing in front of the world I printed in Cricut Design Space.  I adhered the image to a heart and added the quote and ULA.

I sprayed the black cardstock with Bo Bunny Sugar and Prima Tea Color Bloom.  I adhered silver tape and the ribbon that I had run through a pewter ring.  The black cardstock was adhered to the beautiful pink piece from the Polkadoodles Winnie in Wonderland Collection; I did add a little stamping to the top.

The black swing clip is added with a black brad and is adorned with some gems.  The black and white paper is a digi download from Polkadoodles Octavia Collection.  I finished it off with a little gathered ribbon at the top and a 'constellation spray' of gems.

ULA is off to the following challenges:
The Color Throwdown:  Color inspiration
Fab 'n' Funky:  Lovely Ladies

Want to see more ULA inspiration?  Check out the FaceBook Polkadoodles Page or Digi Choosday Page!  You will find all the ULA images HERE!

Thanks for stopping by for a visit!  Feel free to check out other posts, pages, my Pinterest or YouTube Channel!

Sometimes Sparkle Must be Contained.....

Yes, sparkle must be contained...but never dulled!  That's why I decided I needed a proper container for all my sparkles!

I started with this baby formula container...yes, I do tend to hoard some of these in my stash.  I have a few more I'll be working on later for twine, ribbon, etc.

I added black and white striped and polkadot papers from the Polkadoodles Octavia Bundle and this adorable Polkadoodles ULA Sparkle digi and her sentiment!  I colored her up with Copics and added a little bling and twine.

What could be more appropriate for all my sparkles?  Now they are no longer in an ugly bag out in my craft room.  They are all neatly together and ready for the next project that needs a little.....sparkle!

ULA is off to the following challenges:
The Sisterhood of Crafters:  Use items beginning with the letter B:  Baby formula container, Black twine, Black striped paper, Barely Beige Copic
Nordsalten Hobbyklubb:  Recycle
Crafts Galore Encore Challenge:  AG

Want to see more ULA inspiration?  Check out the FaceBook Polkadoodles Page or Digi Choosday Page!  You will find all the ULA images HERE!

ULA Mermaid

Here's ULA Be a Mermaid in Swishy Tail mood!  This is a large bookmark for my planner.. you know, so I can mark those "swishy tail kind of days"!

I started by adhering this adorable Polkadoodles ULA digi to a starfish die cut and cut it with my Cricut.  I then added some Copic coloring, gel marker to her tail and Liquid Glass to the shell.  I inked around the starfish and added some white gel pen to the smaller starfish.  I printed the sentiment onto the tag die cut from Polkadoodles Winston Collection and cut it with the Cricut, also.

Now comes the messy fun!  I sprayed the tag with homemade mist.  I made this mist with ink, metallic paint and water.  I started with the light blue and then added green for the next layer of spray.  Next, I got out some Faber Castell Glass Bead Glitter Gel and applied it over a stencil.  I sprayed with the green again and then a light mist of Color Bloom Spray (Glistening Waves) by Prima.

The sand was sort of an experiment.  I covered a sand die cut with Ranger Crackle Paste and sprinkled embossing powder over it.  I then heat set it.  I added a couple of layers to that.  I then applied some glitter glue and sprinkled some teal seed pearls over that.  Once dry, I adhered it to the bottom of the tag.

My net is a piece of wall repair tape.  I inked it and stretched it out of shape and adhered it.  I added some sparkles and twine/ribbon/cheesecloth to the top.

This Mermaid is swimming off to the following challenges:
The Crafty Addicts:  Die Cuts
Classic Design Team Open Challenge:  AG
Copic Spain:  AG with Copic Coloring
Sunsational Stamps:  Swim/Beach/Ocean
