As You Like It:  Digi or Rubber Stamped?  Wow, that's a tough question!  I have purposes for both!  I like to stamp when I'm putting in backgrounds, working in journals, bible journaling, creating my own papers, etc.  However, I like digis when I'm working with main focal point images for cards, tags, and inserts to journals.  I guess I like the digis since I can more easily manipulate them to meet my needs.  I also like the fact they are easy to store and the selection/price is great!

Sweet Success

Continuing down the path we celebrate success.

Back at the beginning of the year, I shared I would be journaling different topics from Path of Positivity.  So, this month I'm sharing a journal layout I created while thinking about what success means to me and how I experience/accomplish this success.

Here are my thoughts.

Success means different things to each of us.  There are obvious successes such as graduations, new jobs, buying a home, etc and it's great fun to celebrate these accomplishments.

However, it seems as I grow older and look around, I find true success in life is just feeling peace: especially peace with my decisions.

Where do we find this peace in a world filled with chaos?  I believe that answer is different for each of us.  I need to stop, breathe, meditate, pray, be in silence, etc.  Peace, for me, comes with preparation...good old fashioned "if......then" thinking.  I need to play out the scenarios BEFORE taking action.  Then, when I do put thought to action, I need to do so in a way that is peaceful to those around me.

I guess for me, finding my success can only be done by 'making decisions with my head and carrying them out with my heart.'  There I will find peace and that is success!

Come share your ideas of success with our challenge this month at Path of Positivity!

A Floral Summer

As a member of DT for Conie Fong, I so enjoy sharing her delightful digis.  I'm sure when you see Conie Fong's art, you will be inspired to make some new projects!  You can learn more about Conie and her art on her Etsy Site or Facebook.  There is also a challenge site for Conie Fong images:  Conie Fong FaceBook Challenge.

I fell in love with this sweetie ~ Molly's Basket of Love.

I created the card front in Cricut Design Space using the CTMH Artfully Sent Cut.  I flattened this image onto the cut along with the wood paper from Polkadoodles.  After cutting the piece, I colored with Copics and adhered to my card base.  I added a few sparkly sequins and the card is done!

Perfect Pet!

Our new challenge over at Cut It Up is The Perfect Pet!  Come share your interpretation of this theme and don't forget the die cut!

This is a decorative piece I made for my vet's office!  I started with a heavy piece of board and covered it with kraft paper run through a stripes embossing folder each direction to create the plaid.  I then rubbed Chocolate ink over the embossing.

I then backed the precolored Topper from Polkadoodles Horace and Boo with some cardstock and adhered it to the backing.  I cut the pup in a black shadow cardstock and then again out of cereal box and kraft paper.  This gave him lots of dimension.

I inked over the pup with Chocolate ink and finished it up with a teal twine bow!

Happy Anniversary

As a member of DT for Conie Fong, I love to share her delightful digis.  I'm sure when you see Conie Fong's art, you will be inspired to make some new projects!  You can learn more about Conie and her art on her Etsy Site or Facebook.  There is also a challenge site for Conie Fong images:  Conie Fong FaceBook Challenge.

This digi is perfect for an anniversary card for my daughter and her husband since they both love dogs!

I started in Cricut DS and printed the sentiment and digi on a card front with cut-out hearts.  I colored the digi except the sky.  I sponged ink in for an outdoor look because any puppy would rather craft outside in the sunshine, right?  I envisioned him making his card out on an old garden table!

I backed this delightful digi with paper from CTMH, and backed that with DCWV Sparkle paper.  I added some gems and the bone paper clip/ribbon embellishment!

Material List:
Digi:  Snippets of Love from Conie Fong

May You Be That 100'th Man!

As we meander along the way at Path of Positivity, we celebrate success.  There are so many successes in life to celebrate from births to retirements; first days of school to graduations; losing 5 pounds to planting a prosperous garden!

I fell for this quote the moment I read it and knew it would pair wonderfully with the incredible Candle Poe digi stamp from Ike's Art.  I chose to make a congratulations card suitable for graduation, new job, or any other great success that merits celebration!

Come share your celebrations of success at Path of Positivity!
