Friendship

"There is no secret so close as that between a rider and his horse."
~ R.S. Surtees
The theme over at Cut It Up is Friendship!  This is such a great theme since it can be interpreted in so many ways.  Projects can range from a card or gift for a friend to a journal, picture, or layout!  The possibilities are endless here!  Just be sure to use a die cut!

All of the pattern paper design is from Polkadoodles and is digital.  Twine was from my stash and the gold puffies are retired from CTMH.  The frame is from a department store and I removed the glass.

Here is the list of cuts:
CTMH: Art Philosophy, Artiste, Flower Market
Wild Card
Graphically Speaking
Polkadoodles: Flower cuts (Work and Play 12) Leaf Cuts (Sugarpops)

When you visit the blog, have fun viewing the DT projects and check out the rules and prize info.  Then share your take on Friendship ~ don't forget the die cut to have a chance to win a prize for our sponsor Heartfelt Creations!

These friends are off to the following challenges:
Fantabulous Cricut Challenge:  AG
World Wide Open Design Team Challenge:  AG
Little Red Wagon:  Inspired by Song... Happy Together by The Turtles (Does that date me? haha)

Thanks for stopping by!  Make yourself at home and feel free to peruse other posts/pages, leave a comment, and/or check out my Pinterest and YouTube Channel.

A Little Beach Journal

The new challenge over at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday is Anything Goes.

Our sponsor this month is Papercraftinwitherica.com who is with Fun Stampers Journey.  She was so kind to provide each of us with beautiful papers, a stamp, and other goodies!

Some of the paper I received from Erica had wonderful sea patterns; I thought they would be perfect for a fun little journal appropriate for beach pictures, ephemera, and journaling!

The stamp is an inspiring verbiage stamp called You Are and you can see it here!  I stamped the entire stamp twice in different colors and cut the words apart.

The picture below shows a plastic sleeve/open envelope.  This was included in my package from Erica.  This will be perfect for small maps, receipts, pics, or other.

One could even put some sand in there and seal the top!

There is a belly band on this page to stick in some papers, photos, journaling cards, etc.

The stars, plastic sleeve, pattern papers, and stamp are all from Fun Stampers Journey.  I added some plain papers, twine, some embossing and a few gems to complete the project.

The twist is Anything Goes; so be sure to share with us whatever is in your workspace!  We'd love to see it!

Thanks for dropping by today.  It's always great to have company!  Please feel free to peruse other pages/posts or view some videos at my YouTube Channel.

Christmas in 5 Months! I need a plan...

Love Christmas planning!  I thought this image Make a List from Winnie Fruit Punch was the perfect addition to my holiday planner!  The green plaid paper and title font are from Sticks and Bones.  Green polkadot paper is from Winnie Fruit Punch. Dies are from Winnie in Wonderland Tags and Cricut.

...or a planner!  Sure, a little flip book with sections should keep me organized!  The size is 3.5 x 6 inches.  I wanted it small so I could throw it in my purse for trips to shops, grocery, craft fairs, etc.  Never know when I might want to jot down an idea or sketch!

Please check out the video below to see all the different sections of this little planner.

Also, a reminder, you only have a few days left to pre-order your Winnie Stamp of the Month!  You can see her HERE.

One more thing...the challenge for young artists is still open over at Polkadoodles FaceBook Page.  Here are the links and ages:

Add some Ribbon

The new challenge over at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday is Put a Ribbon on It.
Our sponsor this month is Papercraftinwitherica.com who is with Fun Stampers Journey.  She was so kind to provide each of us with beautiful papers, a stamp, and other goodies!

Now this is some fun, bright paper!  Love the black and white stripe behind it, too!

The stamp is an inspiring verbiage stamp called You Are and you can see it here!  I've promised every week you would see the entire stamp and here it is!  It is sort of a subway style stamp and I love it!  There are just so many ways to use it.  Here I went for an Ombre Effect starting with the yellow and working down to the red.

I adhered all the pieces and I finished it off with ribbon and a gem from my stash.

Our optional twist is to add ribbon, but remember it is always Anything Goes.  Be sure to share with us whatever is in your workspace; we'd love to see it!

Thanks for dropping by today.  It's always great to have company!  Please feel free to peruse other pages/posts or view some videos at my YouTube Channel.

Shape that Card!

The new challenge over at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday is Shaped Card.

It's always fun to abandon the rectangle/square once in a while an do something a little different!

Our sponsor this month is Papercraftinwitherica.com who is with Fun Stampers Journey.  She was so kind to provide each of us with beautiful papers, a stamp, and other goodies!

When I saw this stars & stripes paper and western bandana pattern paper, I immediately thought of the American Quarter Horse.  I have been working with a first year 4-H'r and this card is for her when she shows her horse next week!

I started in Design space and cut the card base and horseshoes.  I heat embossed the horseshoes and stuck red gems from my stash on them.  ~ No, none of my horses have red gems on their shoes.  I took some artistic license here!  Please, don't mention this to my farrier!  ;) ~

The stamp is an inspiring verbiage stamp called You Are and you can see it here!  I only wanted 3 of the words, so I did some masking to get the sentiment I wanted.  A stamp like this can give you many options for multiple uses!  You will see the entire stamp later in the month.

I adhered all the pieces and I finished it off with some wooden stars from Fun Stampers Journey.

Our optional twist is Shaped Card, but remember it is always Anything Goes.  Be sure to share with us whatever is in your workspace; we'd love to see it!

Thanks for dropping by today.  It's always great to have company!  Please feel free to peruse other pages/posts or view some videos at my YouTube Channel.

Another Little Polkadoodler!

Hey, have you heard?  Polkadoodles is sponsoring The Mini Polkadoodlers Summer Holiday Challenge!!

This is a great way to get the kiddos crafting during their summer holiday.  This fun challenge runs from 3rd July - 3rd of September, 2017.  Come join in the fun!!

Age groups and links for posting are listed below and there will be a prize for each group chosen at random.

Today’s Mini Polkadoodler DT is Cass from the US!  Cass is just shy of 18 months old.  She chose to use one of the new Sugarpops images:  Lil Miss Mermaid Dolphin.  She wants to add, she did have help with all cutting (since she's not allowed any scissors yet), gluing (since Nana is not foolish), and gems were very closely supervised!!  However, all the lovely pencil work is hers!  ; )

Thanks for sharing with us!

Inchies!

The new challenge over at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday is Inchies.

Now, this was a new concept for me.  I had to ask my talented teamies about this.  Of course, Jean was quick to rescue me!  haha  inchies are just that, 1 inch squares.  I went to Pinterest to get an idea of what others were doing with this idea and found lots of inspiration.

Our sponsor this month is Papercraftinwitherica.com who is with Fun Stampers Journey.  She was so kind to provide each of us with beautiful papers, a stamp, and other goodies!

I chose to use some inchies cut from the delightful country themed paper for this tag.  The paper is double sided; so that gave me the option of the quilted look for the top and bottom.

The stamp is an inspiring verbiage stamp called You Are and you can see it here!  I only wanted 3 of the words, so I did some masking and cutting to get the sentiment I wanted.  A stamp like this can give you many options for multiple uses!  You will see the entire stamp later in the month.

I finished it off with some gems, ribbon, and burlap from my stash.

Our optional twist is Inchies, but remember it is always Anything Goes.  Be sure to share with us whatever is in your workspace; we'd love to see it!

Thanks for dropping by today.  It's always great to have company!  Please feel free to peruse other pages/posts or view some videos at my YouTube Channel.

July 4 DS

Since we celebrate the 4th of July today in the US,  I thought this was the perfect image for a little holiday treat tag!  I used pre-colored elements from the Polkadoodles Winnie Starfish and Sandcastles Design Sheet 9 and backed it with paper from Winnie Starfish and Sandcastles Paper 4 Download.  All Design Sheets are pre-colored and makes crafting a snap!

I'm sure there will be lots of little girls running around in red, white, and blue enjoying delicious, colorful frozen treats!  I'll be using this little tag on some goodies for my grand-girls!

Be sure to head over to Digi Choosday and check out the amazing projects from our team!  Then come share what you are crafting; we'd love to see it!  Remember, when you visit the Digi Choosday Site to pick up your discount code to Polkadoodles; it's good all day today....Tuesday!  It's a great way to pick up those digi's you've had your eye on!
