Ima Krymsun Kid page in Krazy Kat's Saddle Bag Journal

Layout page from Krazy Kat's Saddle Bag Journal.  This page did "break" from the journal time period and incorporated info about my horse and his lineage.  Some fun, hoarded junk on this page alongside the facts!

See the video below for description and tutorial.

 Material List

Horse layout finished in Canva and PhotoScape printed with a vintage feel (ScrappyHorses) printed with Jake's permission!
Prismacolor Pencils (Added color to photo) Piece of coffee stamped paper from stash
Doily inherited in a craft clean
Old earring from broken/mismatched jewelry bag purchased from an antique mart
CTMH Stamp (old!)
Ranger Vintage Photo Distressed Ink "Stuff" from my hoarded treasure boxes! Stuff includes: bit of denim, tag from Levis Adhesives: ATG; Fabric-Tac; Double Score Tape; Starbond Multi-Purpose Medium High Performance Super Glue

I'm sharing with these challenges:

Craft Rocket:  Animals
Neglected Stuff: AG using stuff at least one yr old and neglected!
The doilies have been sitting in the drawer for years as well as the tags! I also got out some old CTMH Stamps and a piece of scrap that has been sitting for .... a few years! hahaha How long does one keep scraps?
As You Like It:  Fav Pet  Oh my, please don't tell the dogs, but I'm choosing the horse!  This is my guy, Jake and I love him even though he is a challege!  He's smug, arrogant, and belligerent...so, why is he my fav?  Beats me, but he is!
Tic, Tac, Toe:  Middle column ~ Summer/Free/Layers

  1. An awesome page full of texture thanks to the denim and the doily. I love how you've played with the layers. A great idea to add a bit of colour to the pic of Jake, he's gorgeous. Thanks for joining us at A Place To Start. Hugs, María.

  3. Love your layout and all the interesting layers. Great to read about your horse too. We lived in Texas in 2002 and came back home to Wales in 2005 bringing with us our daughter's horse we had bought there - he's still going strong and has got used to the cooler weather over the years lol! Thanks for sharing this with Love to Craft

    1. Oh my! I can't imagine taking a horse out of a country; that must have been quite an ordeal! Just trailering to the vet or show can be an adventure. hahaha Love that your horse has had so many wonderful years with you!!

  6. I really like this Katrina. It goes to show you that you can make a super page with lace and fabric and not have it feel 100% feminine. I love the horse theme too. Thanks for joining Halle at AJJ. Your horse is quite handsome and so is this page! hugs-Erika
