Future's So Bright!


It's time for a new challenge over at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday and the optional twist is:  Furry Friends.  Our sponsor, Eureka, has such a HUGE variety of digis.  I chose to create with Cool Cat with Shades.

I actually made this card for one of my students who is just blowing away his music auditions right now!

Guest at Sunday Songs and Rhymes


  Time for a new challenge at Sunday Songs and Rhymes over at The Outlawz and we are inspired by the following verse!  

Just above the meadow
The cuckoo bird flies flapping
Its wings to perch in a tree
To sing its song of spring
Song of love for flowers and
Butterflies and surly bees

The sprouting leaves in
The wind flutter softly lending
Music to the cuckoo's song
In the sultry afternoon
The stream too sings with the
Cuckoo as it moves along

As I read this poem, I couldn't help but think about my grandparents and all the clocks in their home!  This immediately inspired my page!  The flowers and butterflies in the Flower Butterfly Border Greyscale - Digital Stamp from Creative art Design Studio was the perfect image to frame out this lovely photo for my heirloom family history/art journal I am currently creating!  (More on that in a future post!)

Easter Greetings

Spring

 

Our new challenge over at Cut It Up is Spring!  I'm sure we're all ready for some Spring in our lives; I know I am!  Lots of cold and snow and that get old when you have to work outside in the barn!  Now we have to deal with water everywhere; but once Spring arrives, we know summer is close!

The 3rd Dimension


Time for a new challenge at Paper a la Mode over at The Outlawz and the theme is The 3rd Dimension!  So, I chose to make a gift box/bag and tag.  The tag is made using a digi from SheepSki called Ali n Chez.  

I decided to go all out on my 3rd Dimension with the bag AND a 3-D tag!  These bows are so fun and easy to make.  I went a bit further and tied into the Hearts Card that backs my focal image!  The gold hearts and swirls are made with an embossing folder and then I went over the raised hearts with a Gold Shimmer Brush from CTMH!
