"Hold your breath. Make a wish. Count to three."
Concluding our 3 Month Series over at Path of Positivity: Surround Yourself with ... we are thinking about Music! Surround Yourself with Music! The idea is to share how you are inspired by music or what music inspires you!
When I feel sad, distressed, mad, happy, "bleh", I turn to music. Ok, I listen to music all the time. If I'm not listening, I'm singing to myself or hearing music in my head. It's always there.
There is one song that always inspires me ~ Pure Imagination from the Original Willy Wonka Movie. The music itself is so masterfully arranged with the well placed silences and quiet arpeggiated movement in the beginning. The lyrics are so well written: thought provoking and warm. There's nothing like hearing Gene Wilder sing that song and at the end when he quietly drinks from his flower cup, it is truly an uplifting experience.
"Want to change the world, there's nothing to it!" What words could ever be more motivating?
You can hear the song and view the moment that inspires me HERE.

I started with the Limited Runs Flower Mug digi and copic colored in purples and yellows to match the scene from the movie. I found the '123 with the flowers' in Cricut DS to go along with the lyrics. I went over the whipped topping with a shimmer brush from CTMH and used Liquid Glass over the dots. A little advice if you enjoy using the shimmer brushes: I have found the shimmer still rubs off. So, after applying the shimmer and letting it dry, I spray it with a thin coat of Aleene's Acrylic Sealer and it goes nowhere!
So, what music inspires you in a positive way? We over at Path of Positivity would love to know!
This month we are generously sponsored by Limited Runs and Imagine That
Thanks for stopping by; PoP on over to the challenge (where you can learn more about our theme and sponsors) to see what the rest of the team is doing and share with us your thoughts, art, and inspirations! Our themes are optional now, so we'd love to see anything positive you've been working on even if it doesn't exactly fit the theme.
