Concluding our 3 Month Series over at Path of Positivity: Surround Yourself with ... we are thinking about Music! Surround Yourself with Music! The idea is to share how you are inspired by music or what music inspires you!
Ok, it's time for a funny story from this Classically trained oboist! It is true, most of my HS days were spent in a practice room with an oboe. I was a band nerd from the get go and bucked anything that had to do with sports or outdoor activity! Definitely didn't hang with the popular kids! hahaha Now, I did listen to popular music, but one forbid I would EVER go to a party and dance! No way!
Well, as fate would have it, a bunch of us band nerds were out on someone's patio having a "party" (well, as much of a party as band nerds would have) and the song Freeze Frame came on. Everyone jumped up and started moving in a dance sort of fashion. Not real dancing, mind you, but sort of a Charles Schultz Peanuts version of dancing. To this day, I hear that song and I can't stay still! My head starts bobbing and feet go wild....well, sort of....

I used the Imagine That Digistamp Snappy Sandy Digi for my journal page. The film strip, PRE-COLORED Camera Brad, and the Black and white Camera Digi are all from that set. There are many other fun digis in that set; you should go see it!
I started my journal page with some stenciling using various inks and stencils. Now, I didn't have any fun dancing pics, but I could go to my yearbook and copy some band pics from my Sr year in HS. I brought in some digis and such to decorate my photo sheet.
I colored the camera with Copics and adhered the camera with some foam. For the camera brad up in the left hand corner, I cut one in blue and one in tan and layered them. I also went over them with a CTMH Shimmer Brush for some sparkle.
I finished out the page with some ribbon, puffy stickers and a gem.....oh, and of course the title!
